... A few words from some of our many wonderful customers
November 2010
Just wanted to say thanks for the beef last Saturday. It tasted delicious and am appreciative in how you were to able to accommodate my request for a longer-aged piece of beef, where I had found other farms at farmers’ markets not so willing.
I look forward to catching up at the farmers’ market!
Kind regards,
Daniel
Couple of emails already saying how nice the turkeys were this year so lots more feedback to come.....watch this space!
"A belated thank you for the great joint of lamb we bought from you for our thanksgiving. It was delicious!
We’ll be shopping from you again, no doubt
"

"This is just a short message to say that the lamb chops we bought
at the market at Cranleigh last week were possibly the most delicious we have ever tasted!
We will certainly be back to sample more of your meat and vegetables.
Many thanks "

"Just to say how much everyone enjoyed my
'slow roast shoulder of pork' on Boxing Day.
All agreed the pork was the tastiest they had ever had. Many thanks for all the trouble you went to ensuring
I had exactly the correct weight I needed. Wonderful, wonderful pork!

"Hello Grant,
I just wanted to let you know that the leg of lamb was voted by everyone as
"the best lamb I have ever eaten" Even my daughter who does not
like lamb said she liked it!!! So I will be in touch soon for more"
Pat
"Just wanted to let you know that we ended up having a comparative
tasting of sausages the weekend before last when we had a garden full of
kids - yours came out tops over another v good farmers market sausage -
no surprise really - we usually buy good free range supermarket bangers
which are fine, but the kids always ask for "Grant's".

"Having pestered Grant for weeks (It seemed like months!)
I finally took delivery of a massive fillet steak which I had great pleasure in butterflying.
Wow! I have never tasted anything like it and words can never describe the flavour or the smile on my face.
If you are at the Twickenham market and you are lucky enough to
see it on sale, buy it!
(It means I've forgotten to !)"

"Apologies for stopping in a state of shock
on Saturday when you mentioned the price of the sirloin steak! Once
I divided the cost through and broke it down to per steak, it wasnt
as bad. The crowning moment, however, was when Steve had one for
lunch its the best steak he has ever had in his life!
I normally struggle to find good quality organic steak and as a
result we normally dont have any at home. Which means Steve
occasionally has a steak if we are out for dinner and that costs
a lot more. So he has now decided not to have steak out but to save
your steaks as an occasional treat to have at home!
The pork loin chops were fantastic too baked those for Steve
and my brother last night on a bed of sliced apples from the neighbours
garden. The crackling was grilled separately and came up a treat.
All your produce so far appears unbeatable!
Looks like 90% of the meat in our freezer is going to be Lee House
Farms!
Continued best wishes"

"Grant ...where did you get the recipe for
those bangers ? If you worked it up yourself you should be running
a restaurant !
Before I was a butcher.. I was a chef. I've eaten
cheap bangers.....I've eaten Italian, French, Polish and German
sausages...I've eaten the best of British sausages. I've eaten loads
of prize-winning sausages. Loads. (Nearly always a pork and leek
blend for I've tried all the butchers for 20 miles around here......
Yours are the best I ever tasted.
Even my wife, who you might recall I said prefers
those Richmond and Walls abominations to a real banger, asked for
another. That NEVER happened before. Rats! now I'll have to share
the rest with her. Well done "

"After marinating the boned lamb shoulder you
delivered yesterday, all night, we barbecued it today for Sunday
lunch. We invited our neighbours and the concensus of opinion was,
unanimously - "absolutely delicious"! so you missed a
treat!!!"

"I bought some of your sausages today at the
farmers market and
I think they were without any doubt, the best sausages I have ever
eaten and I will definitely be buying more from you. Thanks"
Pat
"We would like two joints for roasting (It
was delicious the one we had).
I also have registered you for UKTV Foods Food Heroes (Prob too
late for you to win, but I voted for you) .Cheers"

"Just to say that our Easter was a booming success due to the wonderful organic lamb we bought. It was delicious.
I can’t stop there though. Your sausages and burgers are indeed the best we’ve tasted.
We only buy from you now.
I know it must be hard work for you all but its worth it for us!

"That was the most delicious leg of lamb. Simply wonderful.
Thank you"

"We don't like to eat any other sausage other than
Lee House Farm sausages"
Chris Fisher
"Just to confirm that the sausages are really the
best I have tasted anywhere. I would not buy from anyone else.
Bacon is fantastic, no fat needs to be added and no white
stuff or water comes out, just fat - handy to fry your eggs in! Visiting
your stall is a real treat. Thank you."
Alison Edwards
"Grant, Your sausages and bacon are the best! The
gluten free sausages you make are great for people who are on a wheat
free diet, or low carb too. They are so meaty and flavoursome! As you
know I am a big fan of your eggs too! "
Sarah Payne, Cocoa Loco
"Great sausage, THE BEST I HAVE TASTED. No, I am
not his Mum or his brother"
Richard Collins
" Hi Grant, I promised to put my comments when I saw
you last Friday at Cranleigh Farmer's market (about your fab sausages)
on the web site, . I think my quote 'the best sausages we've ever tasted'
you already have. I said on Friday once you've had your sausages, you
dont want any others. We LOVE them but cos of the slightly naughty calories,
only have them fortnightly so I buy 2 lots from you and they then become
a real treat meal. My husband would eat them every night if I'd let him!
Your eggs are also noticeably more 'eggy' than other supermarket free rangers.
Must be the yummy grub the hens get to eat. "
Jan Talman
"This past Friday I purchased a shoulder of pork from
you at the Cranleigh market. (I'm the American lady who knows nothing
about preparing pork correctly, but my British husband is the King of
Crackling...). He cooked the meat last night and pronounced it to be the
best pork he has had in over 20 years. Not bad, eh! Do you do legs of
pork (bone-in)? This is his favourite, and we'd be interested in ordering
some.
Many thanks. And congratulations on producing such fine products"

"Just to let you know that the pork at Christmas
was absolutely amazing.
Everyone was completely silent for about five minutes (a rare event
in our
family) at the first mouthfuls of juicy meat and crunchy chewy
crackling
were enjoyed. And it was just as lovely cold on Boxing
Day. And that
bacon
and those chipolatas - my father-in-law (a connoiseur of
sausages) was
bowled over!
Just wanted to let you know how much we all enjoyed eating
it, how much I
enjoyed preparing it all (especially as you'd taken so
much care with
tying
up the pork fillet) and how much we appreciate all your
care and concern
in
providing such fabulous meats to us.
